Assistive Devices/Aides

BVIC sells a variety of devices and aides which help clients with everyday tasks. Unfortunately we are not able to take on-line orders at this time, but you are welcome to call or stop by the office during regular business hours of 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. to purchase items. We recommend making an appointment as staff are usually busy working with pre-scheduled clients. Call 831-649-3505.

Since many devices require a prescription, we must have a current prescription on file (within one year). Call the Low Vision Coordinator at 831-649-3505 if you need to verify your prescription or schedule an appointment.

Current Inventory:

  • Talking watch, keychain, clock, alarm clock
  • Large print calendar, address book, TV remote, clock, playing cards, medicine organizer
  • Kitchen Aides: Microwave bumps, long hot mits, low vision cutting board
  • 20/20 pens and bold lined paper
  • Sunshields

We also keep a supply of prescribed magnifiers, so if your device breaks and you need a replacement, just call ahead and we can set it aside for you.
