Fall Gala and Silent Auction
Posted: Thursday, September 11th, 2025
On Saturday, November 22, 2025, the Blind and Visually Impaired Center of Monterey County hosted a memorable evening at the Monterey Marriott – Ferrantes Bay View. Approximately 60 guests gathered to enjoy a three-course dinner, live entertainment, and both a successful live auction and an exciting silent auction, all in support of our mission to serve individuals who are blind or visually impaired throughout Monterey County.
We were honored to have Anna Velazquez, Mayor of Soledad, serve as our Master of Ceremonies, and Joe Xavier, former Director of the California Department of Rehabilitation, as our keynote speaker. Their leadership, insight, and passion added tremendous value to the evening.
Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, attendees, donors, and volunteers, the event was a tremendous success—raising nearly $50,000 in revenue to support critical programs and services at the Center. Both the live and silent auctions were especially well received and contributed significantly to the evening’s success.
It was truly an evening to celebrate, connect, and make a meaningful difference in our community.
